Context

Power consumption in Reunion Island had an important increase for the last 20 years. To face this challenge the region planned to use renewable energy in order to become self sufficient by 2025,

As a consequence, in 2007,  the largest  photovoltaic power plant in France with was built with more than 6.000 panels covering 10.000m² with an electricity production capacity of 1.350MWh.

Challenge

The photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof of the SAPRIM warehouse. It took 3 years for the project to be completed. For Etanco Group the challenge was to provide a fastener system, quick and easy to install and safe enough to ensure the power plant's continuous operation in the corrosive environment of the seaside.

Etanco solution

For this project our group used fasteners from the FAT range. They were chosen for their effectiveness and high corrosion resistance (15 Kesternich cycles). A high quality solution, still proven after the multiple controls realized by Etanco (between 2011 and 2016).

Beyond the technical expertise, Etanco is a reliable partner which supports every project from the beginning to the end.
