Context

In 2014 the Louvre Museum decided to reconfigure the Pyramid entrance Hall to accommodate for the 15 million visitors per year expected by the year 2020. The management of the largest museum in the world wanted to allow a natural flow of people throughout the hall, thus avoiding long waiting lines, in a calm and quiet atmosphere. We worked on the ticketing area with the project architect: Brina GOLDFARB. The pressure of working in an historical monument was added to the multiple objectives of this project.

Challenge

Better signage and accessibility, reinforced sound insulation on the ceiling and the ticketing offices in order to allow better communication between visitors and the museum staff while making sure to respect the architectural and historical nature of the place.

Etanco solution

The solution picked by our group is FACALU system – Profil C with standards and adjustable clips. Our invisible fixing system allows us to respect the architecture quality and aesthetics. Our standard and adjustable clips faced the challenge perfectly.
